-The 1st Annual Cape Cod Stampede -
August 14th & 15th
Get ready to rodeo! Pull on those boots and hold onto your cowboy hats because the Spirit of the American Cowboy Foundation is riding into the Barnstable County Fairgrounds to host its 1st Annual Cape Cod Stampede on August 14th and 15th.
Live Music – Best of the Fest BBQ & Chili Contest – Bull Riding, Racing & Roping!
Shai & the Cape Country 104 Road Crew will be there Saturday August 14th!
- The Cape Cod Stampede is the Spirit of the American Cowboy Foundation’s sister rodeo to its signature fundraising event, the New England Wild West Fest, in their efforts to help fight against childhood cancer eight seconds at a time.
- Witness world-class contestants from across the country as they vie for the buckle in edge of your seat bull riding, bareback, saddle bronc, barrel racing, team roping, and steer wrestling competition.
- This year, the riders of Team Cowboy Spirit will also compete in the SACF’s Ride4Charity Challenge. A special group of men with their hearts rigged to the cause, their winnings will be matched and donated to the Foundation’s chosen beneficiary, the Dana Farber Cancer Institute’s Jimmy Fund.
- Country artist, Chad Burdick, is set to rock the fairgrounds prior to Saturday night’s rodeo performance, having opened on main stages for Reba McEntire, Alan Jackson, Jason Aldean, and LeAnn Rimes. Return Sunday as Something With Digby takes over the musical limelight.
- Come for the rodeo, stay for the music… and eat as much BBQ as those jeans will allow as the People’s Choice Best of the Fest BBQ and Chili contest heats up the fairgrounds. Savor New England’s finger-lickin’ good pulled pork, baby back ribs, and slathers of sizzlin’ sauces prepared by the top vendors in the biz all weekend long.
- An event for the entire family, enter your young’uns in the “Lil Buckaroos Rodeo” stick horse and calf scramble competition, watch the Barnstable Barn Burners rodeo drill team tear up the arena, and watch the barrel racing slack throughout the afternoon.
- Preferred rodeo seating and parking can be purchased in advance for $25, with adult general admission at $15 and kids under twelve just $5. Parking is FREE.
